The phrase “blue light glasses” was the fourth-highest search keyword driving traffic to the site between April 1 and December 31, 2018, resulting in over 71K URL clicks via Google Search.

During that same time period, this story generated over $8K in revenue for the site, an especially impressive figure because the main product being sold was a $10 pair of blue-light blocking glasses.

Perhaps most notably, the term “blue light glasses” has continued to drive search traffic to the article nearly a year after initial publication; in January 2019 alone, the phrase led to over 7.8K URL clicks via Google Search.

This expert-driven story, about the best tick repellents for humans (and dogs) highlights my ability to take timely news stories and turn them into monetizable, e-commerce stories.

This piece was a traffic and search success pegged to a news story, with over 114K unique visitors and a product CTR of 1.05% between May 1 and July 31, 2018.

It also led to some of the site’s top-selling products during that time period. The insect repellent spray I featured was the best-selling item on the Strategist in May 2018, and though that spray dropped to third place in June, the insect-repelling socks were a top seller that month. Between May 1 and July 31, 2018, this story generated over $11K in revenue.
